Accountable to the President and CEO of the ROHCG, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) leads on all aspects of the Information Management (IM) portfolio including Information Technology (IT) and Information Systems (IS). The CIO will ensure optimal use of the technological and human resources available to successfully deliver on the hospital’s strategy, operational planning, and the implementation and coordination of the IT and IM plan as well as the continued development of the Data Analytics that will enable and empower quality improvement and research capabilities. The CIO will balance vision and pragmatism in enhancing the operational efficiency and performance management of the enterprise-wide system to enable the integrated implementation of programs and practices across the hospital and among partner organizations.
The future Chief Information Officer will be an exceptional leader and communicator. They will bring meaningful leadership experience in a large and complex organization, supported by strategic vision and business acumen. The individual will have a focused and diligent approach to the implementation and operationalization of the hospital’s IT and IM strategy. Their will put the client’s care and the Royal’s best interests at the heart of the decision making and process enhancement plans. As a natural collaborator and mentor, the new CIO of The Royal will have the ability to lead a high performing team and coordinate organizational efforts to improve on standards and help position the hospital as a leader in research technology integration.
