The TOH Assessment Centre is an out-of-hospital clinic where children and adults will be assessed by a health-care provider and tested for COVID-19 if required. The centre is operated in collaboration with The Ottawa Hospital and CHEO, serving the larger public health needs of Ottawa.

You are an experienced Registered Practical Nurse with a passion for people and a desire to make a difference. The work that you do at The Ottawa Hospital and The TOH Assessment Centre matters because you are key player on a team who is committed to providing each patient with an exceptional experience by demonstrating compassion, respect for all, a collaborative spirit and a commitment to quality. 

What You’ll Do

You will welcome, screen and administer the test on all individuals entering the centre who are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, signs and /or have recently travelled. 

Sounds like you? Do you have the skills and experience listed below?

• Minimum one (1) year of recent related RPN experience in an inpatient hospital setting (within the last 2 years);
• Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
• Current BCLS;
• Demonstrates the ability to participate as an active member of the health care team;
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in an oral and a written format with patients, public, colleagues and other health disciplines;
• Able to perform all tasks related to this position;
• Eligible to work in Canada.
