• Registration with College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (CMRTO), and Sonography Canada and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS);
• Experience in Cardiac Imaging;
• Ability to perform IV set up, insertion and medication preparation;
• Intermediate data entry and advanced medical terminology;
• Ability to assist in invasive procedures;
• Knowledge of septic and aseptic techniques;
• Good knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound equipment both mobile and static;
• Certification in CPR;
• Good written, verbal and presentation skills;
• Sound judgement and problem-solving abilities;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

• Experience in 2D, M-mode, Color, Flow, Pulsed wave and Continuous wave doppler examinations, Stress and Pharmacological Echo studies;
• Experience in performing Transesophageal echocardiagrams and contrast echos;
• Experience in evaluating and collating exams and providing pertinent patient information to the physician;
• Ability to use echo analysis software packages to enhance obtained information;
• Experience in a hospital environment;
• Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
