Position Overview
As a Cardiac Echo Sonographer, you will specialize mainly in ultrasound imaging techniques for the production of high-quality cardiac images for adult patients. We provide you with state-of-the-art equipment.
On a daily basis, you will:
• Perform examinations and assess quality and consistency of diagnostic images and make adjustments to equipment as required;
• Analyze high-quality images and produce control measurements on the cardiac reporting software platform;
• Perform contrast injections;
• Inform the cardiologist of any emergency situation identified during the examination;
• Ensure patient safety during examinations;
• Provide coaching, cardiac education and rehabilitation to help patients become self-sufficient in managing their condition and improve their quality of life.
TEMPORARY FULL-TIME POSITION for approximately 1 year
– 12 and 8 hour shifts

What we are looking for
• Hold a diploma from an accredited Cardiac sonography Program and a current General Certificate from the College of Radiation and Medical Imaging Technologists of Ontario;
• Be a member of Sonography Canada or ARDMS
• Have experience in echocardiography and echo stress;
• Must be able to perform TTE
• Prefer ability to perform Stress Echo and TEE
• Prefer knowledge of InteliSpace and EPIC
• Be able to introduce an intravenous line during a contrast procedure;
• Have relevant hospital experience;
• Ability to communicate effectively in French and English
