Duties:

• Provides personal care, assistance, and behavioural supervision to patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Practical Nurse and overseen by Clinical Leadership.
• Works as a member of the team, communicates effectively, maintains a record of documentation of care and observes and reports changes in condition to the Registered Practical Nurse.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures.
• Supports and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of the organization.
• Other duties may be assigned and may not be limited to the scope of an individual department.

Qualifications:

• Completion of 3^rd/4^th year Registered Nursing program or 2^nd year Registered Practical Nursing program required.
• Clinical experience required.
• Therapeutic verbal and written communication skills required.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill working with individuals with various types of dementia, delirium, mental health, addictions, other neurological conditions, and those who experience an acute behavioural change required.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with sound judgment, attention to detail and initiative required.
• Ability to work well with others in a team approach, and adapt to changing situations required.
• Computer literacy required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification required.
• Exceptional Attendance required.
• Must agree to adhere to the standards of behaviour of the organization.
