Overall Job Purpose
The purpose of the Communications and Engagement Specialist is to work in tandem with the Associate Director, Strategy and Engagement to develop and implement a corporate communications strategy, targeting but not limited to members, external stakeholders (national health organizations) and key influencers (provincial and federal governments). This individual will work with all members of the Children’s Healthcare Canada team to assist in knowledge mobilization, marketing and promotions, social media, and content/brand management on all public facing platforms.
This is a 16 month term position with potential for extension.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of an Association communication plan.
- Maintain active and responsive social media presence for @childhealthcan (LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter); Develop and maintain a social media calendar and continually grow/engage audience on all platforms
- Support the redevelopment of the CHC website/portal; Evergreen public and member content in collaboration with teammates; ensure portal is responsive (updated) to reflect emerging issues and opportunities.
- Support the development and implementation of marketing materials for upcoming CHC events (SPARK, conferences and events).
- Working with the CEO and others, lead the development of external stakeholder communications.
