Summary
of
responsibilities
Reporting
to
the
Manager,
Diagnostic
Services;
the
sonographer
will
organize
and
perform
Abd/Gyn
studies,
and
small
part
examinations;
maintain
and
document
high
quality
images;
practice
good
patient
care.
The
incumbent
will
be
responsible
for
various
technical
aspects
in
the
operation,
calibration
and
testing
of
equipment.
Requirements
of
the
job
•
Current
registration
with
CMRTO
in
good
standing
•
Current
registration
with
Sonography
Canada
•
Certified
in
abdomen/pelvis
and
obstetrical
•
Experience
in
Vascular
studies
•
Recent
Relevant
Experience
•
Excellent
computer
skills
and
good
working
knowledge
of
HIS,
Ris,
and
PACS
•
Demonstrated
effective
communication
skills,
critical
thinking,
problem
solving,
decision
making
and
organizational
skills
•
Must
be
able
to
multi-task
in
a
fast
paced
environment
•
Strong
attention
to
detail
and
the
ability
to
work
well
with
multiple
interruptions
•
Ability
to
work
independently
and
within
a
multi-disciplinary
team
environment
•
Must
meet
physical
demands
of
position
including
lifting
over
60
lbs.
and
withstand
constant
standing
and/or
walking

Ability
