Résumé des responsabilités
Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, you support the multidisciplinary team and ensure the proper functioning of electroencephalography diagnostic testing. Your key duties are:
• Record electrical activity in the brain during various states of alertness and ensure the quality of the results by complying with standards established by the Association;
• Receive and inform patients, prepare them for testing and calibrate the device;
• Evaluate the plotted results and other data, prepare notes and reports for the physician/neurologist and meet the requirements of the physicians and neurologists responsible for interpretation;
• Perform basic maintenance and calibration of the equipment;
• Verify the requisition(s) prepared by the physician;
• Indicate the usual montages and document the patient’s condition;
• Identify and eliminate electrical and technical interference.
Profil et expérience
• A diploma in medical electrophysiology techniques or the equivalent;
• Active membership in the Canadian Association of Electroneurophysiology Technologists (CAET);
• Valid certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR);
• Compliance with the codes of ethics related to education and research of the applicable professional association;
• A minimum of six (6) Electro neurophysiology months of relevant experience in the areas pertinent to the position requirements;
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
