Position Overview
The multidisciplinary clerk acts as a receptionist, greeting and registering patients; completing all necessary paperwork for the admission process; providing clerical support; taking phone calls or seeing patients in person; scheduling appointments for multiple clinics and physicians; preparing and distributing consultant schedules and assigning consultation rooms; arranging for outpatient clinic tests or referring patients for outpatient consultations with specialists and compiling data for routine reports etc. All this while ensuring confidentiality of information.
Qualifications:
• High school Diploma
• Capacity to communicate verbally and in writing in both official languages (French and English).
• Good interpersonal relationships.
• Capacity to manage stress.
• Course in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) would be an asset.
• Functional knowledge of computer tools
• Knowledge of medical terminology would be an asset.
