The Ottawa Hospital is seeking a high energy and dynamic healthcare leader to join its team in an exciting opportunity to serve as Regular Full-Time Professional Practice Manager, Dietetics, Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.

The PPM will work collaboratively with clinical and administrative leaders to effectively execute a departmental operational plan, ensuring the successful achievement of organizational priorities and initiatives. This position will oversee initiatives that improve patient experience and integrate patient/family perspectives into care and service evaluation design.

Days, 8 hour shifts.

• Master’s Degree required in Business or Health Administration (or combination of experience and the completion of a recognized degree from an accredited program in Clinical Nutrition, Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology;
• Minimum five years of leadership experience in a hospital setting;
• Minimum five years of clinical experience as a regulated health professional;
• Current registration with the appropriate regulating body for Clinical Nutrition, Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology;
• Skilled at assessing performance and identifying performance improvement opportunities;
• Ability to successfully lead others through change;
• Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team;
• Excellent negotiation, problem solving and conflict management skills;
• Excellent analytical skills required for decision making;
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills;
• Excellent knowledge of principles of management and research based practice;
• Experience leading work related quality initiatives and innovative practices;
• Knowledge and ability to learn and apply Hospital policies and procedures, relative legislation, collective agreements, Accreditation Canada Standards, and Professional Disciplines Standards for Ontario;
• Knowledge of budgeting process;
• Knowledge and awareness of principles and issues related to the delivery of patient care in a major teaching hospital;
• Skilled at engaging and inspiring others toward a common vision;
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Active member of provincial and national professional associations;
• Proficiency in speaking and comprehending both English and French.
