Position Information | ||
Join our team as a Registered Nurse on the Geriatric Medicine Unit of The Ottawa Hospital! Our Geriatrics department looks after patients who present with an acute functional and/or cognitive decline due to a medical/surgical illness. We provide our patients with diagnostic/treatment services that are not available anywhere else! Nurses who work on the Geriatric Medicine Unit will have the opportunity to develop specialized skills and knowledge that will serve them when working with geriatric patients for the rest of their career. |

What you will do | ||
Geriatric Medicine nurses work as part of a multi-professional team to keep seniors with complex problems out of hospital and at home for as long as possible. Our specialized skills are reflected in the Geriatrics 5Ms , which also communicate our areas of expertise. • Mind • Mobility • Medications • Multi complexity • Matters most You will have a direct impact on our patient population by improving future outcomes by optimizing patient well-being and preventing readmissions. |
