We are currently accepting resumes to build a pool of qualified candidates for future part-time and full-time opportunities in our Mental Health Care Program, including Inpatient Psychiatry and Psychiatric Emergency. Who We Are
The Ottawa Hospital is one of Canada’s largest learning and research hospitals, with more than 1,100 beds, approximately 12,000 staff members and an annual budget of about $1.2 billion.
Our focus on learning and research helps us develop new and innovative ways to treat patients and improve care. As a multi-campus hospital affiliated with the University of Ottawa, we deliver specialized care to the Eastern Ontario region, but our techniques and research discoveries are adopted around the world. We engage the community at all levels to support our vision for better patient care.
The primary focus of TOH’s mental health programming is early identification and treatment of acute mental illness. Each mental health program is multidisciplinary, with nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists, a clinical dietitian, advanced practice nurses and nurse practitioners. We provide a range of hospital-based services at the Civic and General Campuses and we offer a number of highly specialized community-based services that complement the hospital-based services. We also support regional programs including Champlain LHIN First Episode Psychosis Program, Regional Centre for the Treatment of Eating Disorders and the Ottawa Mobile Crisis Team and Crisis Beds which take referrals from across the Champlain LHIN.
