Special opportunity for nurses without critical care (intensive care) experience. An Orientation Program will be provided to successful applicants who do not have past intensive care experience. The sucessful applicant will be encouraged to provide a commitment for a period of two years.

This position is for the ICU Resource Team.

This position will require some rotation between both the General and Civc campuses.

Days, evenings, and nights, including weekends, 12 hour shifts.

• Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
• Recent adult ICU experience, or Critical Care Course in progress with minimum of 1 year med/surg experience, or Recent Level 2 experience;
• Demonstrates a commitment to continuing education and willingness to actively participate in departmental educational activities;
• Demonstrates a knowledge of the nursing process and the ability to apply this process to the practice of Nursing;
• Demonstrates a commitment to patient teaching;
• Demonstrates the ability to work effectively as an active member of the health care team;  
• Demonstrates a professional and respectful attitude to patients, the public and colleagues.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing;
• Post-graduate studies;
• CNA certification in Critical Care;
• Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
