Position Overview
The RPN will participate as a member of the surgical team including perioperative role in all services. The RPN will participate actively in the patient’s perioperative experience advocating for the patient while working within an interprofessional team environment.
Qualifications
Certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario (or eligible).
Current C.P.R. certification
Perioperative Nursing Certificate or equivalent experience
Experience
Minimum of 6 months recent clinical experience (during the last 2 years) in the Operating Room.
Skills / Abilities
Ability to work effectively as an active member of the health care team.
Ability to demonstrate competence in practice through the integration of knowledge and skills in order to perform nursing interventions competently.
Patient assessment.
Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to be at the workplace in less than 30 minutes when on-call (from call to cut)
