Description
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Strategy and Performance, the Project Manager oversees small projects or phase(s) of a larger project. Responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire project life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close), the Project Manager will work closely with Operational Leads to ensure the success of projects. Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
The Project Manager will establish and cultivate relationships at all levels to create the conditions required for effective engagement in support of the delivery of key strategic priorities.
The Project Manager will collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful integration and sustainability of project outcomes into day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
Education/Specific Training Requirements:
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a health/life sciences, engineering or business administration field or recognized equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Relevant Experience and Knowledge
- 3+ years of progressive project management experience
- Relevant and recent experience in a hospital/healthcare setting
- Experience creating business requirements, project plans, project schedules, and associated project materials
- Experience working in a distributed environment with multiple decision makers
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegate appropriately
- Demonstrated understanding of project lifecycles within the project management discipline
- Proven ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders to establish trust, credibility and respect.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to work effectively with a variety of professionals in a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and problem solving ability.
- Excellent presentation, technical writing, facilitation and training skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Excel
- Good attendance and availability required
