Duties:
- Perform in-patient and out-patient neurodiagnostic tests including EEG
- Maintain accurate records of tests performed
- Assist with statistical data and quality assurance
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain adequate supplies
- Collaborate with other team members to optimize use of available resources
- Work in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal
- Ensure a work environment that is conducive to The Royal’s Harassment-Free Workplace policy
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current certification with the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (CBRET) required
- Undergraduate degree in Health Sciences, or a related field is required
- Minimum of three (3) years recent practical experience in EEG is preferred.
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to work independently as well as a member of a dynamic team
- Demonstrated effective decision making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with excellent patient care skills and service excellence attitude is essential
- Strong organizational skills combined with effective problem solving abilities
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension and written expression. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
